Introduction. Part 1/7

This is the Introduction article for Digital Transformation series. The scope of the series is to provide an approach for companies in their efforts towards a digital transformation. We will discuss digital trends, disruptive technologies but mostly a step by step framework to guide your progress into a post-Covid19 era. Let’s go!

What is Digital Transformation?

Being one of my favorite question to ask any company, I heard so many answers that a segmentation of the definition is necessary based on the company ambition or scope.

1. Digital Transformation is about building your digital presence, be reachable for your customers and then serve them in a digital manner.

2. Digital Transformation is about start-ups and new technologies implemented to disrupt the market and attract new customers.

3. Digital Transformation is about E2E digital processes of an organization as reducing customer acquisition and serve costs.

None of the above definition is wrong but in order to fully transform an organization, all of them and many more should be considered.

Below you can find the results on a recent study from Forbes showing why organizations failed on their Digital Transformation efforts.
